John was hired by RealFi Home Funding in 2013 as the company’s Business Relationship Manager and as the Director of Mortgage for Champions.  Tom Marinaro, one of the owners of the company recruited John because of his character, integrity, determination and personable skills he possessed as a Chief of Police. John began his first career in the Borough of Kinnelon as a Patrolman in 1988.  He was promoted to Sergeant in 1991, promoted to Captain in 2000 and finally to Chief in 2002.  He brings the same leadership and professional qualities to this second career, to his team and to the clients he assists with their mortgage needs. 

As the Director of the Mortgage for Champions program, he specializes with the needs of Law Enforcement, Fire Personnel, Emergency Medical Services, Educational Professionals, Government and Municipal Employees, Medical Professionals, Unions and Military Services, whether Active or Non-Active.  This does not limit him in assisting anyone who could use his assistance.  

A Husband and Father of three children, he enjoys spending quality family time with them.  Whether it is at home relaxing or on the golf course with his two sons, John is a dedicated family man who knows the value of being there for his family.  He brings this same value to his clients, looking out for their needs and communicating the process from beginning to end.
